One Year...One Love!

Ho pensato fosse ora di fare un resoconto...
E' passato un anno da quando lo scorso 17 Giugno apriì questo blog con
un intento abbastanza diverso (qualcuno di voi ricorderà) da quello che poi trasformò totalmente " STYLES UPON STYLES"!
Infatti sia il blog che il suo scopo principale subirono cambiamenti continuii fino a giungere
a quello che oggi "è" a distanza di un anno...
Uno spazio on line che pubblicizza album e pubblica news e interviste viaggiando in parallelo al sito ufficiale della STONES THROW.
La vostre quotidiane visite mi portano a pensare che questo spazio sia di aiuto
e sopratutto d'interesse per molti di voi e mi spingono a dargli sempre più spazio.
Spero di mantenervi sempre aggiornati in tempo reale (orari Californiani) e di esaudire qualche vostra rischiesta se ce ne fossero.

Siamo ad un traguardo...o possiamo considerarla una partenza?
Finalmente il disco di James Pants è ufficialmente uscito e con lui un'altro videoclip di un brano incluso in esso.
In questo caso di tratta del singolo ufficiale "We're Throught",pezzo sempre ben posizionato tra ritmi funk e influssi wave electro,impossibile non ascoltare e non amare "Welcome" come è impossibile non adorare questo videoclip diretto e girato egregiamente da Aaron Fink.

In late 2005 Ghostface Killa and MF DOOM were both recording over tracks from J Dilla's instrumental opus, Donuts, which saw release the following February. Some of these were released on Ghostface's Fishscale in 2006, while others, including a Dilla-Doom project, were postponed indefinitely after J Dilla's passing. Two of these tracks, “Sniperlite” and “Murder Goons,” will be released digitally, exclusively through Stones Throw's webstore, due to launch in late June.

Questo progetto,che forse,in cui un pò tutti speravamo,e che un pò tutti sognavamo dall'uscita di "Mash's Revenge" inclusa sulla compliation "B-Ball Zombie War",oggi è divento una certezza!
Un progetto che era anonimo a tutti noi fino a questa mattina,ma che con l'ufficializzazione e la pubblicazione sul sito di quella copertina dalla grafica davvero ammiccante e dalla voglia sia di ascoltarlo,sia di spulciare al più presto lo shop della Stones Throw (finalmente quasi al termine della sua lunga lavorazione),ci ha reso la gioranta di molto migliore del solito...!
Bhè,sta tutto scritto qui sopra,adesso non resta che attendere ancora un pò,ci riusciremo?

Now-Again Records follows up The Heliocentrics’ percussive excursions into the astral realms of psychedelia with an album of Afro-tinged funk music originating from the Southern Sahara and recorded in Germany.

Karl Hector has, to date, only appeared on one 7-inch, from 1996, as the leader of the Funk Pilots. For this album, he has teamed up with Jay Whitefield (producer and guitarist for the Poets of Rhythm and the Whitefield Brothers, and founder of the now defunct Hotpie & Candy Records) and Thomas Myland and Zdenko Curlija, founders of The Malcouns.

Alongside Bo Baral, other members of the Poets of Rhythm and crack Munich- based session musicians, Whitefield, Myland and Curlija have crafted nearly twenty tracks that follow the musical roads that Hector has travelled. The underlying groove that ties these ideas together, of course, is as rooted in James Brown as it is Fela Kuti. As informed by Mulatu Astatke of Ethiopia as it is by Jean-Claude Vannier and Can. This is an album of the world. Not “world music” – but that will appeal to any culture ever transfixed by rhythm on “the one.”
